The year at a glance

Hummingbirds

Keep at least one feeder available in every month.

Orioles

Keep at least one feeder available in every month.

Suet

Suet season from December 1 in north Florida until late february.

Feeders out by

February 10 — or simply never take them down

Take down after

Leave up all winter in South Florida and along the Gulf; elsewhere, late November

Feeders out by

March 20 — or simply never take it down in central and south Florida

Take down after

Leave a feeder up through winter from Orlando south — wintering Baltimore Orioles are regular

Start suet by

December 1 in north Florida; skip it from Orlando south

Stop raw suet after

late February — raw suet and Florida do not mix; no-melt only, if at all
